Winnipeg Film Festival 2012 Highlights

The WR2R Film Festival has eight categories. One of those categories is open to Manitobans making short films.

Manitoba has an incredible pool of talented actors, directors, writers, editors, technical personnel and special effects coordinators. I had the privilege to be a part of making a feature film which was shot largely in Manitoba with an all Manitoba cast and crew. It is our goal to highlight Manitoba talent in this category.

Congratulations to all Manitoba Filmmakers!

To highlight the great Manitoba filmmakers in our province.

Up to 30 minutes

Short films completed in 2008 and later are eligible. Short films completed 2007 and earlier are not eligible.

All topics welcome. But please see the Rules and

Guidelines about what we are and are not looking for.

The Manitoba Challenge is a short film competition for films by Manitobans that are 30 minutes or less in length. The director, producer, screenwriter and lead actor must be Manitoban. All other positions can be from other locations. For purposes of this contest, a Manitoban is someone who was either:

1. Born in Manitoba, OR
2. Who has lived a combined total of a minimum of 5 years in Manitoba.

The production can be filmed on either film or video and can be shot in any location. There is no requirement for the film to be shot in Manitoba.
